To start a workshop transcription session in RoomRadar, open the home hub and click Start a conversation. That creates a new session and takes you straight to its live workspace, where you connect a phone for each table or breakout group before anyone starts talking. Creating a session vs. starting the meeting
Creating a session and starting the meeting are two different steps, and the distinction matters. Clicking Start conversation only creates the session shell, an empty workspace with a room code, ready for groups to join. Nothing is being recorded or transcribed yet.
The Start button inside the workspace is what actually begins the meeting. RoomRadar keeps it disabled until every connected group has working audio, so you cannot start recording with a table that has no live microphone. If you click Start too early, the workspace tells you why it is blocked, usually because a group is still connecting or no group has joined yet.
What "live" captures
Once you press Start, RoomRadar transcribes every connected group's table in parallel and in real time. Each group gets its own column in the workspace with a live transcript, and an overview surface builds themes and a timeline across all groups as the discussion develops. Rooms you prepared but never started
Clicking Start a conversation does not always create a new room. If you already have a room you never touched, RoomRadar takes you back into that one instead of making another. This is why repeatedly clicking the button does not leave a trail of empty rooms behind it.
The moment you do anything to a room, it stops being reusable. Renaming it, uploading material, planning it, setting a group screen, or having a group join all mark it as a draft, and a draft is yours to come back to. Drafts are listed under Samtal in a collapsed strip above the conversation list, not mixed in with sessions you actually recorded. Open the strip to reopen or delete any of them. Drafts you never return to are removed automatically after 30 days.

No. RoomRadar opens the session immediately when you click Start a conversation; you can rename it from the workspace or the conversation list afterward. Naming it does mark it as a draft, so it will be kept for you rather than reused.
Yes, and it is worth doing. Groups can join and confirm their audio while the session is idle, pressing Start just begins the actual transcription and timeline once every connected group is ready.
The room stays. If you had done nothing to it, clicking Start a conversation again takes you straight back into it. If you had renamed it or added anything, it is a draft, and you will find it in the drafts strip at the top of the Samtal (conversations) tab.
