Get alerted when a breakout group stalls
Turn on the alerts bell so RoomRadar flags a quiet table, a group asking for help, or a discussion drifting off topic while you are watching another one.
A facilitator running several breakout groups at once cannot watch every table all the time. RoomRadar's alerts bell is built for exactly that: it watches every group in the background and gets you alerted when a breakout group stalls, asks for help, or drifts off topic, so you find out the moment it happens, not when you happen to check in.
Where to find it
The bell icon sits in the live workspace header, next to the Start/Stop control. It changes appearance depending on state: a plain bell normally, a ringing bell when there is an active alert, and a small amber dot badge whenever an alert needs your attention. Click it to open the Alerts dropdown, which has two tabs: Settings and History.
The alert types
- Quiet groups, "When a group is speaking much less than the others." Fires once a table's talking pace has stayed well below the room's median for about a minute and a half, so it only flags real, sustained silence, not a normal pause. It needs at least three connected groups to compare against, and only starts watching after the first few minutes so a slow start does not trip it. Enabled by default.
- Groups needing help, "When a group asks for assistance or gets stuck." RoomRadar reads the live transcript and flags a group that sounds stuck or is asking for a facilitator. This is the only alert type that plays a sound and pulses the group's dot. Enabled by default.
- Groups off topic, "When a group drifts away from the topic." This one needs setup: click Edit topic and describe what the groups are meant to be discussing, either one topic for everyone or a different one per group. RoomRadar then flags a group whose conversation drifts away from that description. Off by default until you set a topic.
- Gender imbalance, flags a group (or the whole meeting) where men account for over 90% of the talk time despite women being present. Enabled by default and easy to miss if you are not looking for it, worth leaving on for any workshop that cares about who gets heard.

It needs a topic description first. Open the bell, click Edit topic under Groups off topic, and save what the groups are meant to be discussing, globally or per group.
Yes. Open the bell and switch to the History tab for a timestamped list of everything that fired, with a link back to each group. Use Clear history to reset it.
